UPON hearing the counsel the Court made the following O R D E R

1. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the

material on record suggests that the respondent was married

to one Ashok Shivram Polkar and she has not yet obtained

divorce from her husband. Thus, respondent’s assertion that

she married with the petitioner or they lived like husband-

wife cannot be presumed, and as such Domestic Violence Act

proceedings are not maintainable.
