State Election Commission Maharashtra UPON hearing the counsel the Court made the following O R D E R Heard learned counsel for the parties. Mr. Ajit Kadethankar, learned counsel appearing for the State Election Commission, on instructions, submits that considering the ground reality and the prevailing

2 situation, the Commission is of the considered opinion that the election process need to be kept in abeyance for a period of two months for now. Nevertheless, the State Election Commission will continuously monitor the situation and take appropriate decision as and when it is deemed necessary. In other words, the State Election Commission has shown its willingness to proceed with the election process in compliance of the direction given by this Court but has expressed its inability for the time being, which statement is placed on record. In view of the above, this miscellaneous application and other pending applications are disposed of with liberty to the parties to renew the prayer for extension of time or for seeking appropriate directions, as may be necessary.
