The petitioner, who has suffered a conviction under Section 302 of the Indian Penal Code 1860, is stated to have undergone nearly twelve years of actual imprisonment. 3 Counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner states that the petitioner has already applied for the grant of bail. We request the High Court to take up the appeal for hearing and final disposal within a period of three months from the
2 date of this order being produced before the assigned Bench according to roster. In the event that the High Court is unable to take up the appeal for reasons not bearing on the lack of cooperation of the petitioner, we request the High Court to consider the application for bail afresh. 4 Subject to the aforesaid, the petition is disposed of. 5 Pending application, if any, stands disposed of.
