Respondent(s) WITH MISCELLANEOUS APPLICATION NO. 1414 OF 2020 IN WRIT PETITION (C) NO. 276 2012 AND MISCELLANEOUS APPLICATION NO. 896 OF 2020 IN WRIT PETITION (C) NO. 276 2012 O R D E R M.A No. 895 of 2020 in M.A. No. 494 of 2020 in Writ Petition (C) No. 276 2012 with M.A. No. 1414/2020 in W.P. (C) No. 276/2012: We have heard the learned Counsel appearing on behalf of the parties. By our order dated 27.08.2020, we have called upon the Chancellor to look into the matter and opine as to whether there is a need to opt for any other alternative apart from the CET for admission to B.Ed courses, given the COVID situation in Bihar. The Chancellor has, by a letter dated 31.08.2020, opined that the admission to the B.Ed. Courses can be done through CET. Further, Shri Amit Pawan, learned counsel informs us that the CET is now going to be held on 22.09.2020 after which the admission process will then take its course and classes will begin in December this year.
2 Given the fact that the Chancellor has taken stock of the present situation and opined that the CET can go ahead, we find it difficult to interfere with the said decisions. The present Miscellaneous Applications are accordingly dismissed. Mr. Pawan requests us stating that, given the present extraordinary situation, to relax the dates that were laid down in our earlier judgment. That is accordingly done and the State may hold the CET on 22.09.2020 together with all consequential actions thereon, as given by them in their affidavit. M.A. No. 896/2020 in W.P. (C) No. 276/2012: Extension as prayed for till 03.03.2021 is granted for the academic session 2021-2022. Miscellaneous application stands allowed. .......................... J.
