UPON hearing the counsel the Court made the following O R D E R 1. Heard Ms. Mahalakshmi Pavani, learned senior counsel for petitioner and perused the pleadings. 2. Despite information to the learned counsel for the State of Gujarat, none appears. 3. The petitioner is in jail in connection with NDPS case for possessing contraband substance- mephedrone (284 grams). The petitioner was arrested on 13.07.2023. He has already suffered incarceration for about 24 months. The trial is at initial stage and only SLP (Crl.) No(s). 3746/2025 2

It is a case of possession of psychotropic substance and unless any violation of any statutory provision is shown, the possession itself would not be illegal. 5. In view of the above, we direct for the enlargement of the petitioner on bail subject to the terms and conditions that may be imposed by the Trial Court commensurating with the charges framed against him. 6.
