This Court has passed the following order in SLP(Crl.)No. 1563/2018 vide order dated 23.2.2018: “We have heard learned counsel for the petitioner and perused the record. Having regard to the fact and the circumstances of the present case, while upholding the conviction the sentence awarded to the petitioner is reduced to six months. The petitioner may surrender to custody within eight weeks from today, failing which he may be taken into custody. The special leave petition is accordingly, disposed of. Since the order is being passed ex-parte, the respondent will be at liberty to move this court, if aggrieved. Pending applications, if any, shall also stand disposed of.” However, this is the second offence for which the petitioner has been convicted. Therefore, in peculiar facts of the case, we reduce the sentence from two years to one year, after taking into consideration the second conviction in this case. Both the sentences to run concurrently.
