For the reasons set out in the aforesaid order, and as the High Court, while disposing of the appeal(s) against acquittal did not appoint an Amicus Curiae to appear for the respondent therein and the present appellants, we allow the present appeals with an order of remand. Accordingly, the impugned judgment(s) is set aside with the direction that the High Court will decide the appeals afresh after according opportunity of hearing to the parties. To cut short delay, the parties shall appear before the High Court on 11.06.2024, when a date of hearing will be fixed. The appeals are allowed and disposed of in the above terms.
