Mr. Shuaib-uddin, Adv.For Respondent(s) UPON hearing counsel the Court made the following O R D E R This special leave petition has been filed for grant of bail on the ground that the petitioner who is a life convict has served more than five years already in jail. His appeal pending before the High Court is not likely to be heard in the near future. In the facts and circumstances of the case, we are not inclined to entertain the bail application. The special leave petition is dismissed accordingly. However, we request the High Court to expedite the hearing of the appeal and in case, the appeal is not heard within a period of one year, the petitioner shall be at liberty to move a fresh bail application and if it is so filed, it may be decided in accordance with law.
