A candidate who participates in a selection process with full knowledge of its terms and conditions — including reservation of vacancies — is estopped from subsequently challenging the process after being declared unsuccessful. Additionally, as analysed on casestatus.in, a belated representation concerning a stale promotional claim does not give rise to a fresh cause of action, and delay and laches must be reckoned from the original cause of action, not from the date of rejection of such representation.
