2. Leave granted.
3. Feeling aggrieved and dissatisfied with the impugned judgment
and order(s) dated 21.03.2022 & 02.08.2022 passed by the High Court
of Punjab & Haryana at Chandigarh in RFA Nos. 6169 & 6381 of 2014
and 6083 & 6287 of 2014, by which the High Court has allowed the
said Appeals, the co-owners of the land acquired have preferred the
present Appeals.
4. At the outset, it is required to be noted that with respect to
the very acquisition, by a detailed judgment and order dated
20.10.2022 passed in C.A. Nos. 7516-7521 of 2022 - Jaspal Singh and
Others vs. State of Haryana and Ors., this Court has determined and
awarded the compensation @ Rs. 22 lakhs per acre.
5. Therefore, the appellants shall also be entitled to the same
compensation. However, considering the fact that the judgment and
award passed by the reference Court was not challenged by the
appellants before the High Court and despite the fact that they
were the proforma respondents before the High Court, the appellants

shall not be entitled to any interest from the date of passing of
the judgment ...
