IN THE SUPREME COURT OF INDIA CIVIL ORIGINAL JURISDICTION
TRANSFER PETITION (CIVIL) NO.619 OF 2022
MEGHANA SAXENA PETITIONER
VERSUS
PRAWAL SRIVASTAVA RESPONDENT
O R D E R
The sole objection of the learned counsel for the
respondent is that petitioner is, in fact, posted at New
Delhi for work. Learned counsel for the petitioner
controvert the said fact and contends that petitioner was
working on contract basis with Air India but she has now
been discharged.
Having heard the learned counsel for the parties and
gone through this transfer petition filed under Section 25
of the Code of Civil Procedure and considering the facts
and circumstances of the case, we deem it fit and proper
to transfer Case No.2143 of 2021 titled as “Prawal
Srivastava vs. Meghana Saxena” from Principal Judge Family
Court, Allahabad to the Principal Judge Family Court,
Gwalior who may entrust the case to the Court of competent
jurisdiction.
We order accordingly.
It shall be open to the respondent to seek permission
1
from the Court for virtual appearance on such dates as the
Court may deem appropriate.
It shall be open to the parties to explore the
possibility of an amicable settlement through Mediation
before the Transferee Court.
The Registry is directed to immediately transmit a
copy of this order to both the Courts.
