O R D E R
1. Leave granted.
2. This appeal challenges the judgment and order dated
03.12.2020 passed by the High Court of Judicature of Madras,
Bench at Madurai in Writ Petition (MD) No.16528/2017.
3. The writ petition was filed by the appellant praying inter
alia that he be provided compensation in the sum of Rs.1 Crore
within such time as may be stipulated by the High Court.
4. While dealing with such writ petition, the order passed by the
High Court was to the following effect:
“2. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner is ready and willing to surrender before the concerned Court and prayed that bail petition may consider on the same day and seeks permission of this Court to withdraw this Petition.
3. Considering the request of the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner, this writ petition is dismissed as withdrawn. However, if the petitioner surrender before the concerned Court, the bail petition may be considered on the same day on merits in accordance with law. No costs.”
