Leave granted.
A limited notice was issued only on the quantum
the sentence.
The appellants were convicted for the offence
punishable under Sections 323, 342, 147 of the Indian
Penal Code, 1860. Learned counsel appearing for the
appellant submitted that considering the facts of the
case and coupled with the fact that the occurrence
took place in the year 2009, the sentence may be
modified. The High Court itself has taken note of the
long pendency of the case. One of the appellants
is aged about 65 years. There are no prior
antecedents against the appellants.
Considering the aforesaid facts, we modify the
sentence of the appellants to the one already
undergone by them.

The appeals stand allowed in part, accordingly.

disposed of.
