1. Leave granted.
2. Heard learned counsels appearing for the parties.
3. The gist of the prosecution case is that one Ramesh
Tigga lodged a complaint that his son Pritam
Tigga was gone to play volleyball and had not returned
and on 23.08.2022, the wife of the complainant Puniya
Tigga received a call from an unknown number on her
mobile demanding a ransom amount of Rs.25 Lakhs for
release of her son and she was threatened that failure
to comply with the demand, they would be facing dire
consequences. On registration of FIR, investigation was
taken up, victim was rescued and appellant herein was
arrested.

4. Having heard the learned counsel appearing for the
respondent and on perusal of the grounds urged in the
petition, we notice that there is a serious dispute
with regard to the name of the present appellant. On
the one hand, the prosecution contends that name of the
appellant Bablu Mahli is an alternate name while
original name is Upendra Mahli and this is stoutly
denied by the appellant himself in the grounds urged.
