1. Heard learned counsel for the parties.
2. Leave granted.
3. The appellant-husband has preferred this appeal
against the judgment and order dated 03.01.2025 passed by
the High Court whereby it has affirmed the fixation of
Rs.75,000/- per month as interim maintenance to the
respondent-wife.
4. It appears that the main case for divorce between the
parties, i.e. P.A. No.1192 of 2021 continues to be pending
with the Family Court at Pune.
5. It is only against the interim maintenance fixed
under Section 24 of the Hindu Marriage Act, 1955 in the
aforesaid case that the present proceedings arise before
us.
6. It is contended that the appellant-husband was
drawing a salary of Rs.1,00,000/- per month and presently

about 1,10,000/- per month and therefore, the amount of
interim maintenance fixed at the rate of Rs.75,000/- per
month is on the higher side.
7. It is further submitted that this Court while
entertaining the Special Leave Petition, by an interim
order dated 01.08.2025 had permitted the appellant-husband
to clear the arrears of maintenance at the rate of
Rs.50,000/- per month and had directed him to continue
making payment @ Rs.50,000/- per month.
