The appellant, Gopi @ Gaurav Singh,

is aggrieved by the denial of regular bail

by the High Court of Madhya Pradesh at

Jabalpur, vide order dated 10.09.2025

passed in Misc. Criminal Case No.

28554/2025, in relation to First

Information Report (FIR) No. 174/2023

dated 06.03.2023 registered with Police

Station – Kotwali, District – Satna,

Madhya Pradesh, for the offences

punishable under Sections 395, 397, 302,

120B and 216A of the Indian Penal Code,

Crl.A. @ SLP(Crl.) No. 19118/2025 1

1860 and Sections 25 and 27 of the Arms

Act, 1959.

We find that the appellant, Gopi @

Gaurav Singh, has been in custody since

14.03.2023.

Counter affidavit filed by the State

of Madhya Pradesh reflects that 30 out of

80 listed witnesses have been examined

till date and the remaining 50 are yet to

be examined. There is, therefore, no

possibility of the trial concluding any

time in the near future. Further, the

counter affidavit does not detail any

direct evidence linking the appellant to

the commission of the offence. In any

establish the same during the course of
