1. This transfer petition has been filed by the

petitioner-wife. The respondent–husband has filed Petition

under Section 13(1)(a) of the Hindu Marriage Act pending

before the Family Court, Dehradun, Uttarakhand. The

petitioner-wife prays that the matter be transferred to the

Family Court at Ludhiana, Punjab.

2. Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and the

learned counsel for the respondent. All the same since the

petitioner is presently residing at Chandigarh and

moreover, Chandigarh will be convenient for the petitioner

as well as for the respondent for transferring the subject-

case.

3. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case,

it would be expedient for the ends of justice to transfer

the Matrimonial Suit O.S. No.780/2023 titled as “Avneet

Singh Brar vs. Dr. Mrs. Harmanpreet Kaur Bhattal”, pending

before the Family Court, Dehradun, Uttarakhand to the

competent Court at Chandigarh.

4. Ordered accordingly.

5. After the matter is transferred to the competent Court

at Chandigarh, the concerned Court will give fresh notice to

all the parties by fixing a date and the aforesaid matter
