O R D E R
1. The main appeal (Criminal Appeal No. 280 of
2024) was disposed of by this Court on 31st July,
2024. By the said order, the amount of fine and
compensation deposited by the appellant-accused
was directed to be paid to the respondent-
complainant. Accordingly, the Registry was
required to make an endeavour to communicate the
order dated 31st July, 2024 to the respondent-
complainant for receiving the amount lying in
deposit, along with the accrued interest.

2. The Registry made efforts to communicate with
the respondent-complainant, in the course of which
an issue arose regarding a discrepancy in the name
and identity of the respondent-complainant.
Accordingly, this Court passed an order dated 16th
January, 2025, which is reproduced hereinbelow for
the ease of reference: -
“In view of the above, we find it appropriate to refer the matter to the Trial Court to examine this aspect of the matter and submit a report with respect to the correct name of the complainant/respondent(herein) and also ensure the identity as to whether ‘L J Radha Krishna Setty’ and ‘Y. Radhakrishna Shetty’ are names of the same person or not. After getting th...
