IN THE SUPREME COURT OF INDIA CRIMINAL APPELLATE JURISDICTION
CRIMINAL APPEAL NO(S).5106 OF 2024 (ARISING OUT OF S.L.P. (CRIMINAL) NO(S).14671/2024)
RAVIKUMAR APPELLANT(S)
VERSUS
THE STATE OF GUJARAT RESPONDENT(S)
O R D E R
Leave granted.
Heard the learned counsel appearing for the parties.
The appellant was on bail till the disposal of the trial.
There is a fixed term sentence of 10 years. There are no
antecedents of the appellant. The appeal of the year 2024 is not
likely to be heard in near future considering the pendency of old
appeals before the High Court.
Hence, the impugned order is set aside. We direct that the
appellant shall be produced before the Trial Court within a maximum
period of one week from today. The Trial Court shall enlarge the
appellant on bail on appropriate terms and conditions till the
disposal of the appeal before the High Court.
The Appeal is, accordingly, allowed.
