O R D E R
The petitioner seeks transfer of divorce
proceedings pending before the Family Court,
Muzaffarnagar to the Court of competent jurisdiction
at Dehradun, Uttarakhand.
It is contended that the petitioner has initiated
proceedings under Section 125 Cr.P.C. before the
Court at Dehradun in which the respondent-husband
has been participating in those proceedings.
Learned counsel for the respondent urges that
this Court should not intervene since the distance
between Muzaffarnagar and Dehradun is insignificant
and both cities are well connected.
Having regard to the fact that the proceedings
are already pending in Dehradun in which the
respondent is participating, this Court is of the
opinion that the interest of justice will be sub-
served if the claim in these proceedings is allowed.

Accordingly, the petition for divorce being
Matrimonial Case No.1482 of 2022, titled as Shubham
Mittal v. Meenu Mittal, pending before the Principal
Judge, Family Court, Muzaffarnagar, Uttar Pradesh is
directed to be transferred to the Family Court,
Dehradun, Uttarakhand.
The Transfer Petition is allowed accordingly.
