This appeal challenges the order dated 16.07.2024
passed by the High Court of Madhya Pradesh at Jabalpur in
Miscellaneous Criminal Case No.27656 of 2024.
Apprehending arrest in connection with the crime
registered pursuant to FIR No.182 of 2018 dated
12.06.2018, lodged with Police Station Garh, District-
Rewa, Madhya Pradesh in respect of the offences
punishable under Sections 420, 467, 468, 469, 471, 120-B
read with Section 34 of the Indian Penal Code, 1860 and
Sections 13(1) and 13(2) of the Prevention of Corruption
Act, 1988, the appellant preferred an application before
the High Court seeking anticipatory bail in terms of
Section 438 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973 (for
brevity, “Code”). Said application for anticipatory bail

having been rejected by the High Court vide impugned
order dated 16.07.2024, the instant appeal has been
preferred.
While issuing notice, this Court vide order dated
18.10.2024 granted interim protection in favour of the
appellant.
