Leave granted.
The appellant is charged under Section
20(b)(ii)(C) and Section 25 of the Narcotic Drugs and
Psychotropic Substances Act, 1985,
It is submitted that the appellant has already
undergone one year and seven months’ incarceration.
Only six out of 18 witnesses have been examined.
There are no prior criminal antecedents in which the
appellant is said to be involved.
Taking into consideration the period of
incarceration and that the trial is likely to take
some time to conclude, we are inclined to grant bail
to the appellant.
Accordingly, the impugned order is set aside and
the appellant is granted bail on terms and conditions
to the satisfaction of the trial Court.

The appeal is allowed accordingly.
Pending applications, if any, shall stand
disposed of.
