UPON hearing the counsel the Court made the following O R D E R

Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioners.

We do not find any ground to interfere with the impugned

order passed by the High Court. However, we make it clear that the

status of the respondent as not belonging to a Scheduled Tribe

having attained finality, none of his descendants may claim for the

said status.

The Special Leave Petition is, accordingly, dismissed.

Pending application(s), if any, shall stand disposed of.
