O R D E R

1. High Court of Allahabad1 had published an advertisement in

2023 inviting applications from eligible candidates for filling up 83

vacancies in the Uttar Pradesh Higher Judicial Services, 20232. On 29th

April, 2024, the petitioner duly submitted his application form, online,

for participating in the selection process followed by successful tender

of payment of examination fees more than a month before the last

date. Thereafter, on 31st May, 2024, the petitioner posted

physical/hard copy of the digital application form along with all the

required documents from Sub-post Office, Saket, District Court

Complex to the respondent no.2, i.e., Registrar (Judicial) Appointment

and Selection/Seniority, of the High Court. On 16th October, 2024, the

High Court published a list of 4521 applicants who were found to be

prima facie eligible to appear in the examination. The petitioner’s

name did not figure in such list. Upon contact being established by

the petitioner, the Higher Judicial Services cell in the High Court
