Leave granted.
This appeal challenges the judgment and order dated
26.07.2024 passed by the High Court of Judicature at Patna in
Criminal Miscellaneous No. 36707 of 2024.
The appellant herein has been booked for the crime
registered pursuant to FIR No. 02/2024 dated 04.03.2024 lodged
with Police Station Special Vigilance Unit (S.V.U.), Sadar,
District Patna, with respect to offence punishable under
Section 7 of the Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988.
An application seeking regular bail having been rejected
by the High Court vide impugned order dated 26.07.2024, the
appellant has preferred the instant appeal.
This Court vide its order dated 09.09.2024, issued notice
in the instant matter.
Heard learned counsel for the appellant in support of the
appeal and learned counsel for the State and perused the
material on record.

appellant is in jail for nearly ten months; that although
chargesheet has been filed and the matter is at the stage of
compliance of Section 207 of the Code of Criminal Procedure
