O R D E R
1. Heard learned counsel for the parties.
2. Leave granted.
3. By an order dated 29.08.2025, the parties were
referred for mediation before the Coordinator of the
Supreme Court Mediation Centre.
4. The parties have arrived at a settlement and the
Settlement dated 03.12.2025 is placed on record.
5. An application seeking dissolution of marriage dated
28.11.2016 by a decree of divorce on the basis of mutual
consent has been filed under Article 142 of the
Constitution of India.
6. In the aforesaid facts and circumstances of the case,
we consider it appropriate to exercise our discretionary
jurisdiction under Article 142 of the Constitution of
India.
7. The application is allowed and the marriage between
the parties is dissolved in terms of the settlement dated

03.12.2025. The settlement dated 03.12.2025 is annexed to
this Order, and read together with this Order for all
purposes.
8. It is needless to observe that the pending litigation
between the parties is also either terminated or wound up
by the respective courts as has been agreed between the
parties.
9. The appeal shall stand disposed of in terms of the
Settlement Agreement. The parties shall remain bound by
