UPON hearing the counsel the Court made the following O R D E R

Heard Mr. Amit Pai, learned counsel for the petitioner.

Mr. Pai submits that the petitioner is protected from

surrendering by the High Court until 19.01.2021. But since appeal

is filed, he would like to press this application for exemption

from surrendering.

I have noticed that the petitioner was a Police Officer

and was convicted under the Prevention of Corruption Act and was

sentenced to two years imprisonment. The nature of the crime is

noted by the Court.
