O R D E R
1 In the present case, parties, by consent, had taken recourse of
mediation. After the order of this Court, the Supreme Court
Mediation Centre sent a report dated 26.02.2024 along with the
settlement agreement dated 22.02.2024. The relevant terms of
the compromise and settlement, as specified in the agreement,
are, thus :
“1. The terms of Compromise and Settlement are as under :
i) The Parties of the First Part undertakes to pay a total sum of Rs. 40,00,000 in two equal halves of Rs.20,00,000 each to Mr. Ajit Singh and Mr. Gurmeet Singh. This payment is to be paid in lieu of Mr. Ajit Singh, Mr. Gurmeet Singh

and Dr. Davinder Kaur i.e. the party of "Second Part" giving up, and transferring all their Share of Ownership Rights, Title and Interest whatsoever with respect to Residential Property i.e. the super structure and the land bearing No. 274 Giani Zail Singh Nagar, Rupnagar, Punjab (hereinafter referred to as the "said property") in favor Smt. Kuldeep Kaur, Mr. Tejinder Singh and Mr. Parvinder Singh (referred to as the Parties of the "First Part") jointly.
ii) The Payment of Rs. 40,00,000 as mentioned above shall be paid as under :
a) Smt. Kuldeep Kaur has handed over a sum of Rs.1,00,000/- each by cheque in ...
