O R D E R
1. Heard the learned Senior Counsel appearing for the
parties.
2. Having considered the matter in detail, we are of the
opinion that the National Consumers Disputes Redressal
Commission, New Delhi has not committed any error in law or
fact in allowing the Consumer Complaint No.327 of 2020. In
this view of the matter the Civil Appeal is dismissed.
3. It is noticed that by order dated 01.09.2023, this Court
had directed as follows:-
“1. Delay condoned.
2.Learned counsel for the appellant relies on the order dated 17th February, 2023, passed in Civil Appeal No. 1488/2023, filed by the appellant against the order passed by the

National Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission, New Delhi, wherein, it is stated that the only issue agitated is the excessive rate of interest levied on the appellant on delayed compensation.
2. Learned counsel submits that even in the aforesaid case, the NCDRC had directed the appellant to pay the delayed compensation with interest at the rate of 8% per annum to the respondent-complainant.
