1. Delay condoned.
2. Leave granted.
3. The appellant is one of the accused facing trial in
FIR No.133/2017 dated 21.10.2017 lodged at Police Station
Sanjay Nagar, Sangli under Sections 302, 143, 147, 148,
149, and 201 of the Indian Penal Code, 1860 (in short,
the “IPC”). The FIR pertains to the murder of one Sarfraz
Irani, in which the brother of the appellant, namely,
Firoz Irani, is the main accused. It is alleged that
Sarfraz Irani was told by the appellant’s brother to come
in the evening to settle the dispute, which had arisen in
a cremation ceremony during the day time. When the
deceased came, the appellant, her brother, and their
family members are alleged to have attacked him with
sharp-edged weapons. He tried to rescue himself by
entering into neighbours house. From there he was taken
to the hospital, but he passed away.
4. The matter was investigated; charge-sheet was
filed; and Sessions Case No.17/2018, emanating from the
above-mentioned FIR, is now pending before the Sessions

Court at Sangli.
