O R D E R

1. Heard Mr. Shariq Ahmed, learned counsel appearing for the

petitioner. Also heard Mr. Ankit Goel, learned counsel appearing for

the respondent No. 1.

2. This contempt relates to the order passed by this Court on

19.04.2023 (Annexure P/1) in the Civil Appeal No. 80 of 2018.

3. The learned counsel drew Court’s attention to the following

paragraphs in the Court’s said order:

“6. Proceeding with the above understanding and keeping in mind the ratio in C.P. Mundinamani (supra), we are of the considered opinion that the High Court was in error in denying relief of annual increment to the appellant, if it was otherwise due to him by virtue of the requisite service rendered by him in the previous one year. The respondents are accordingly directed to consider the appellant to be entitled for annual increment and on that basis revise his salary by adding the annual increment component and then work out the payable pension to the appellant.”

4. In the counter affidavit filed by the respondent No. 1, the steps

taken by the respondents to comply with the above order, are
