Leave granted.

The FIR in question was registered on 17.10.2021 when the

appellant was stopped from boarding the flight to Canada on

the ground that the visa on the basis of which he was

travelling was forged. The appellant, Sankeerth Mamuni

Vaikkath, allegedly procured the visa from one Rajesh, to whom

he had paid a sum of 4,00,000/- (Rupees four lakhs). It₹

appears that the said Rajesh was also arrested and was

thereafter released on bail.

The appellant, Sankeerth Mamuni Vaikkath, who has been

facing prosecution and is regularly appearing in the Court for

about last four years, had earlier filed an application before

the High Court, which was disposed of vide order dated

03.05.2024, recording the statement on behalf of the State, on

instructions from the Investigating Officer, that every

endeavour would be made to conclude the investigation as the

Ministry of External Affairs has requested the Canadian

Embassy to ascertain the authenticity of the visa in question.

Nothing has happened since then and even after this Court

issued notice in this case vide order dated 20...
