O R D E R
1. Leave granted.
2. The appellants are challenging the common order passed
by the learned Single Judge of the High Court of Punjab and
Haryana dated 18.10.2024, whereby the petitions filed by the
appellants seeking quashing of proceedings initiated against
them vide Complaint bearing no. 191 dated 10.11.2012/210/216
have been rejected.
3. The proceedings arises out of an offence punishable
under Section 138 of the Negotiable Instruments Act, 1881.
4. From a perusal of the record it appears that there is a
long standing business relationship between the appellant(s)
on the one hand, and the respondent on the other hand.
5. When the matter was listed on 25.04.2025, a statement
was made before us that the parties have decided to amicably
settle the matter. It had also been agreed that an amount of
Rupees One Crore would be paid to the respondent as a

settlement amount towards all the dues of the respondent.
6. Today, when the matter is listed, the learned counsel
appearing for the respondent does not dispute that an amount
of Rupees One Crore has been received by his client. He,
