IN THE SUPREME COURT OF INDIA CIVIL APPELLATE JURISDICTION
CIVIL APPEAL NOS. 14820 - 14821 /2024 [@ SLP [C] NOS.3001-3002/2022]
THE QULI QUTAB SHAH URBAN DEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY & ORS. Appellant(s)
VERSUS
MOHAMMED JAFFERUDDIN & ORS.ETC. Respondent(s)
WITH CIVIL APPEAL NOS.14822 - 14823 /2024 [@ SLP(C) Nos. 15546-15547/2022]
O R D E R
Leave granted.
The present appeals have been filed against the
interim order passed by the Wakf Tribunal which has
been confirmed by the High Court.
Though the contention has been raised on merits,
we do not wish to go into the same as it would be
appropriate to be decided in the suit which is
pending before the Wakf Tribunal.
Accordingly, the appeals are disposed of by
directing the Tribunal to dispose of Suit No.99/2016
within a period of four months from today.
All issues are left open.
Needless to say the interim order passed will
have no bearing on the suit.
In such view of the matter, the contempt
proceedings initiated are directed to be kept in
2
abeyance on the condition that the status quo as on
today shall be maintained.
The appeals are disposed of accordingly.
