Heard learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner as also the learned Additional Advocate General appearing on behalf of the respondent – State. Although learned Additional Advocate General vehemently opposed the prayer for granting bail to the petitioner herein yet taking into consideration the facts that the petitioner has suffered incarceration for a period of more than 2 years and 8

SLP(Crl.)No.3468/21 2 months, investigation is complete, chargesheet has been filed, out of 17 witnesses, only 8 have been examined and the trial is likely to take long time as also the fact that the co-accused has been granted bail by this Court vide order dated 22.02.2021 passed in SLP(Crl.)No.6311/2020, we are of the opinion that it is fit case to grant him bail.
